THE EXPEDITION WILL FLY INTO ALASKA AND THEN HEAD TO EXPLORE THE WORLD FAMOUS DENALI MOUNTAIN RANGE, MATANUSKA GLACIERS & SURROUNDING RIVERS.

A COMBINATION OF KAYAKING ON BOTH ROADSIDE, REMOTE AND GLACIAL FED RIVERS, INCLUDING FLYING IN ON SMALL PLANES TO DO AN OVERNIGHT TRIP ON A CLASSIC REMOTE ALASKAN WILDERNESS RUN, AS WELL AS EXPLORING GLACIERS AND POTENTIALLY EVEN ICE CLIMBING, THIS WILL BE A TRULY UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE THIS WORLD CLASS DESTINATION.

EXPLORE ALASKA IS AN ADVENTURE THAT HAS BEEN IN THE MAKING FOR OVER FOUR YEARS. THIS WILL TRULY BE AN ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME. CURRENTLY WE BELIEVE THIS IS THE FIRST TRIP OF IT'S KIND TO BE RUN AND WE ARE VERY EXCITED TO BRING THIS ADVENTURE TOGETHER. PLACES ARE VERY LIMITED FOR THIS EXPEDITION.

LIFE CHANGING ADVENTURE

Initial Itinerary. This is subject to change due to weather, water levels, and unforeseen challenges such as flight delays. Note the weather in Alaska changes dramatically which can have a big effect on the program. Dates 26th/27th July - 6th August 2019

Day 1 Airport Day

Individual airport pickups in Fairbanks and camp at Denali Outdoor Centre on Otto Lake

Day 2 Nenana River

Drive to Denali Outdoor Centre and spend the afternoon paddling a classic section of the Nenana river. Yanet river expedition briefing, equipment pack-up and dinner. Camp at Denali

Day 3 Yanet Fork River – Day 1

Fly in on small planes to the remote Yanet River and start paddle. Camp in the Denali Wilderness on the river bank at the confluence of the Yanet and Nenana rivers.

Day 4 Yanet Fork River - Day 2

Paddle out from Yannet confluence to Nenana. Camp at Denali

Day 5 Denali Day

Spend a day exploring the Denali region. Possibly hike / bike / paddle. Exact plan to be confirmed on the day. Camp at Denali

Day 6 Willow Creek

Drive to Willow Creek and paddle this classic run (levels permitting). Then drive and Glacier camp on the Matanuska river.

Day 7 Matanuska River

Paddle the Matanuska glacial river. The left river bank is a glacier. Glacier camp on the Matanuska river.

Day 8 Matanuska Glacier Day

Explore the Matanuska Glacier. Possible Ice Climbing adventure tbc* (*additional charge). Drive and camp near Six Mile Creek. Possible stop at Portage Glacier.

Day 9 Six Mile Creek

Paddle Six mile creek a classic Alaskan run. Debrief and camp near Anchorage

Day 10 Airport Day

Farewell and shuttles to Anchorage airport for your journey home
